Stop Action, Blurred Motion, Light Trails, & Helix H2O

This project required us to take pictures of four different themes. The themes were Stop Action, Blur Motion, Light Trails, and Water. Stop Action photo had to be of a moving object who's action needed to be frozen with the camera. To do this the shutter speed of the the camera had to be fast and the picture needed to be taken when they're was a lot of light because of how fast the shutter speed was. For the Blur Motion we needed to take a picture of a moving object but in this case it didn't need to be frozen. Instead the objects motion need to be blurred out and the background needed to be frozen to do this we used a tripod. Then you set the camera at a slow shutter speed so when I took the picture the camera got the movement of the object and since it was at a low shutter speed the motion came out blurred out and the camera didn't move because of the tripod so the background would come out clear. On the Light Trails we also needed to use a tripod so that the background would come out clear. Just like for the Blur Motion one, the shutter speed had to be slow so that when the picture is taken the lights are moving and they leave a trail. This picture needs to be taken at night so that the lights come out clear. Lastly for the Water pictures we just needed to capture water movement either frozen or blur.

For this Stop Action photo I went to Downtown El Cajon. I set my camera on a fast shutter speed. As the cars were passing by I did a kinda of spanning so that the movement of the car would freeze. That day it had been raining so the car made some of the water splash and you can see it around the car.

This is a picture of the carousel at Parkway Plaza. So I used the tripod for the background of the picture to come out clear. Then I set the camera at a low shutter speed and the carousel started to move and the they movement came out blurred out.

This is my picture for Light Trails and I took it in Downtown San Diego. For this picture I used the tripod to make the background clear. Then I set the camera at a low shutter speed so when I took the picture the cars had their lights on and as they drove the lights left a trail.

For the Helix Water picture I went out to Downtown El Cajon pond. For this I set the camera at a fast shutter speed. Then I had someone trow a rock for in the water. Then as the rock was falling I took several pictures so catch the water splash.
